These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Captain May I platform operated by T2Connect LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), including the website at captainmayi.com, the Captain May I web application, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). Captain May I is a product of T2Connect LLC.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. Account Registration

- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
3. Description of Service
Captain May I provides a web-based platform for boat owners and marine service professionals, including:
- Fleet Management: Vessel tracking, maintenance scheduling, and logging
- Business Tools: Estimates, invoices, client management, and payment processing
- AI Features: AI-powered chat assistants (Ask mAyI), voice assistant (First Mate), receipt scanning, and maintenance scheduling
- Communications: SMS/text messaging, email notifications, and document sharing
- Contact Management: CRM features for managing clients and vendors
4. Subscription Plans and Payments
- The Service offers free and paid subscription tiers (Pro, Business, Fleet/Charter)
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout
- Payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion
- We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers
5. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
By opting in to SMS notifications on the Captain May I platform, you agree to the following:
- Purpose: You will receive transactional SMS messages related to your use of the Service, including invoice notifications, estimate deliveries, payment confirmations, appointment reminders, and account security alerts
- Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your platform activity. Messages are only sent in connection with specific actions (sending invoices, estimates, or reminders)
- Opt-In: You consent to receive SMS messages when you enter your phone number and agree to receive notifications during account setup or when sending documents through the platform
- Opt-Out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may also manage notification preferences in your account settings. After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message
- Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact info@captainmayi.com
- Message & Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details
- No Requirement: Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing or using the Service
- Privacy: Your phone number and SMS consent will not be shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details
5.1 Marketing Messages
With your separate, explicit consent, you may also receive promotional messages via SMS, including tips, feature announcements, and special offers.
- Separate Consent: Marketing message consent is collected through a clearly labeled, optional checkbox that is separate from transactional message consent. The checkbox is unchecked by default and is not required to submit any form
- Not Required: Marketing consent is not a condition of purchasing or using the Service
- Frequency: Marketing message frequency will not exceed 4 messages per month
- Opt-Out: You may opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to any marketing message, or by managing your communication preferences in your account settings. Opting out of marketing messages does not affect your transactional notifications
- No Sharing: Your marketing consent and phone number will not be shared with or sold to third parties for their own marketing purposes
6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
The Service includes AI-powered features that generate responses for informational purposes only.
- AI-generated navigation routes, waypoints, and GPX files are approximate and must be verified with official nautical charts before use
- AI-generated weather interpretations should be confirmed with official NOAA marine forecasts
- AI-generated mechanical advice should be reviewed by a certified marine technician before performing repairs
- AI-generated business documents (estimates, invoices) should be reviewed for accuracy before sending to clients
- We are not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses resulting from actions taken based on AI-generated content
7. User Content and Data
- You retain ownership of all content you upload or create on the platform (logs, photos, documents, business records)
- By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you create and share through the platform
- We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk communications through the platform
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service to transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person
- Use AI features to generate harmful, illegal, or misleading content
- Exceed reasonable usage limits or abuse API integrations
9. Payment Processing
The Service integrates with third-party payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Square) to facilitate invoice payments. Captain May I acts as an intermediary and is not responsible for payment processing errors, chargebacks, or disputes between you and your clients. Payment processor terms apply to all transactions.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated content, navigation data, weather information, or mechanical advice provided through the platform
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Captain May I, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
- You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us
- We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or at our discretion with reasonable notice
- Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination
13. Modifications to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Florida.
